Terms and Conditions
CONTRACT
Please note the booking of accommodation is a legal binding contract between 2 parties being Touchwood Motor Lodge the supplier and the person making the booking and undertaking to pay for services used.
RATES
All room rates are quoted in New Zealand dollars and inclusive of GST
All rates are based on 1-2 people and then an extra person charge applies.
Infants up to 1 year old are free of charge otherwise the extra person charge will apply
BOOKINGS
A valid credit card number and expiry date are required to confirm all bookings. If this is not possible, payment in full for the booking will be required before the arrival date. A bond may also be required if credit card details cannot be supplied
Bookings may not be made by persons under 18years of age and persons under 18 years of age staying at Touchwood Motor Lodge must be accompanied by a parent or Guardian.
CANCELLATIONS
Credit card number and expiry date are required to confirm all bookings.
We require 48 hours notice of cancellation, if this is not received and you do not arrive we will charge you one nights accommodation.
A $20.00 admin fee will apply to all cancellations and changes up to 48 hours prior to arrival date
In peak periods and some special events a minimum night stay may apply, this includes a 72 hour cancellation policy.
All cancellations must be received in writing to info@motorlodge.co.nz
No phone cancellations are accepted.
Should guests alter or depart before the reserved departure date refunds will only be given at management discretion.
GROUP BOOKINGS
Please note the booking of accommodation is a legal and binding contract.
Credit card number and expiry date are required to confirm all bookings.
3 or more units are deemed to be a group booking.
A 20% non- refundable deposit, ( of the total Booking) is required within 7 days of making the reservation. This must be received before confirmation of booking is given.
All cancellations must be received in writing to info@motorlodge.co.nz
No phone cancellations are accepted.
If you cancel the booking more than 28 days prior to check in no further charges will apply other than the loss of deposit.
Any changes or cancellations within the 28 days of check in date will incur the cost of one night’s accommodation of the unit /units cancelled plus loss of deposit
Any cancellations within 7 days prior to check in date will incur the cost of the original charge of the unit/units cancelled unless the units can be re-let for the same value as the original booking.
Group bookings consist of one invoice and one payment.
Final payment must be received 7 days prior to arrival
NO SHOW / FORGOT TO CANCEL
Sorry not our problem, we will charge you.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check in is between 1.00pm and 9.00 pm
Check out is by 10.00 am on day of departure
If you are arriving after 9.00 pm please contact us to arrange key instructions
Early check in or late check out may only be possible with prior arrangement with the management. Please do not be disappointed if this is not possible.
If you specifically require extra time may we suggest that you book an extra day to allow you to meet your commitments.
EARLY DEPARTURE
Departing earlier than the reserved date may not result in a refund. We reserve the right to invoice you in full however if we re sell the unit at the same price you will be refunded less a $30.00 admin fee.
RECEPTION HOURS
Monday to Friday 7.30am – 9.00pm
Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays 8.00am – 9.00pm

PAYMENT
We accept eftpos and all major credit cards; Visa, Master Card, American Express, Diners and Farmlands.
Cheques will only be accepted with prior approval of management.
All accounts must be paid in full prior to departure unless otherwise arranged with management.
We reserve the right to charge recovery fees on all outstanding accounts.
PARKING
Whilst we have good parking facilities please be aware of the basic rule of 1 x carpark per unit. If you arrive with extra vehicles / trailers please don’t be offended if we ask you to park on grassed areas or on the road.
VISITORS
Guest visitors are welcome at Touchwood, but they are the resonsibility of the registered guest
For the consideration and respect of other guests we insist that all visitors vacate the premises by 10.00pm
PETS
We do not accept pets other than those required under law.
SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited in the units. We ask that you smoke away from doors and windows and to be considerate of other guests.
Smoking in the units will incur a minimum $200.00 charge plus any resulting loss of income from not being able to relet the unit.
DAMAGES
Any damages are to be reported to management at the earliest convenience. The registered guest is liable to for all damages whether from recklessness or wilfull and will be charged accordingly for repairs and any loss of income.
STATE OF ROOMS
If your unit is left in an unsatisfactory state, which includes, excessive rubbish, misuse of motel property (including linen), any unhygienic uncleanliness, soiling, excessive mess or odour in the kitchen, which causes excessive and unwarranted cleaning time by Touchwood Motor Lodge staff. We reserve the right to charge for the cost of extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our unit or property to it’s normal condition.
